Dave’s journey in automotive design is nothing short of inspiring. His career began with academic contributions as a professor at IAAD University of Design, where he mentored aspiring designers. He then transitioned into key roles in the industry, serving as a Senior Exterior Designer and Team Leader at Jaguar Land Rover, where he played a pivotal role in crafting some of the brand’s most iconic designs. Later, at NIO, he brought his vision to the forefront of electric vehicle design as Senior Exterior Lead Designer.
In 2018, Dave returned to his roots in Italy to join Automobili Pininfarina. Here, he took on the challenge of leading the design of the Battista Hypercar. Under his guidance, the Battista has become a symbol of cutting-edge performance and timeless elegance, embodying the spirit of Pininfarina’s design heritage.
Through his dedication and forward-thinking approach, Dave Amantea continues to shape the future of automotive design while honoring the legacy of one of the world’s most iconic design houses.
